Majen offers two distinct cutting methods for Travertine Slabs — Vein Cut and Cross Cut Each option highlights unique patterns and tones, crafted to meet diverse architectural needs. Choose honed for smooth elegance, brushed or tumbled for rustic texture, and polished for luxury interiors.
Slab Sequencing, Numbering and Matching
Slabs are numbered in cutting order so the movement across a block remains traceable. Linear bands are monitored in vein-cut lots, while the softer cloud pattern is followed in cross-cut production. Keeping a lot together gives fabricators better control when selecting adjoining slabs for bookmatch walls or other large surfaces.
Thickness, Calibration and Finish Inspection
Inspection focuses on 2 cm, 3 cm or 5 cm thickness tolerance, calibration, fill integrity and an even surface finish—not color alone. Edge fissures and usable net area are also marked. Countertop, façade and wall-cladding fabricators can then plan cuts around the area that is actually available.
